Stronger than ever: when Art becomes a voice for change

On International Women’s Day, we didn’t just watch a film—we stood behind a movement.
ARISE - Strong me

On March 8th, 2025—International Women’s Day—Framereel proudly stood beside INDAK and Strong Me in support of a powerful initiative that went far beyond film. Hosted at Cinobo Opera in the heart of Athens, the screening of ARISE was not just an event—it was a collective experience of solidarity, storytelling, and action.

A film that speaks without shouting

ARISE, a short film presented by INDAK, does what many campaigns cannot. It speaks without raising its voice. It reveals what often remains hidden. Through raw, emotional storytelling, the film sheds light on the lived, complex experiences of women navigating a world where inequality still lingers behind closed doors—and sometimes, out in the open.

In partnership with Strong Me, a grassroots movement fighting gender-based violence, this event created space not only for awareness—but for connection. After the screening, the audience didn’t simply applaud and move on. They stayed. They listened. They heard stories of resistance and rebirth from artists and activists who turned their personal revolutions into public inspiration. Among them were rapper Sadahzinia, stand-up comedian Katerina Vrana, choreographer Eva Stavroyianni, and founder of Strong Me, Aspasia Theofilou—a survivor, artist, and changemaker.

From awareness to action

But this was more than a night of art. It was a call to action. Through a fundraising campaign titled Stronger Than Ever, INDAK and Strong Me reminded us that awareness must be paired with support. Donations from the event go directly toward supporting women affected by gender-based violence and ensuring Strong Me can continue offering vital services: advocacy, education, and a safe space for women to break the cycle.

At Framereel, we believe that brands—like people—carry a responsibility. To speak when it matters. To stand beside movements that drive change. That’s why we supported this initiative—not just as a sponsor, but as storytellers who understand the power of using our lens to amplify the voices that need to be heard most.

Because some moments should be more than seen. They should be felt. And some stories, like ARISE, should be shared again and again—until no woman has to fight alone.
